What is a fanlisting?

Official definition

Quoth TAFL:
A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.

My interpretation

Fanlistings have become quite the fad since it first caught on several years ago. It first started with TFL but now, anime and manga related fanlistings fall under a separate network, TAFL. Both joining and maintaining fanlistings have become quite a hobby for webmasters. Right now, many webmasters have a "fanlisting collective", where they list all the fanlistings they own and have joined. The fanlisting-owner community has grown quite large; just take a look at the TAFL board.

Who is Komui?

D.Gray-Man

D.Gray-Man is a wonderful shounen manga by Hoshino Katsura. It is serialized in Shounen Jump, along with other great shounen titles such as Bleach, Naruto, Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, and One Piece. D.Gray-Man is the story of the struggle between 2 groups of people, the Black Priests and the Noah's Family, to obtain things called Innocence. The main character is Allen Walker, an Exorcist and pupil of General Cross Marian. He and other Exorcists are compatible with an Innocence and can use that as their special power to fight enemies called Akuma, sent by the Millinium Earl, leader of the Noah's Family and Akuma.

Komui Li

Komui Li is the Supervisor of the Science Division of the Black Church. He overlooks all the Exorcists and missions that they are sent on. His main job is to discover where Innocence is and retrieve if before Akuma get to it. He has a younger sister, Rinali, who is also an Exorcist. Komui is a funny guy, to say the least. As the name of this fanlisting suggests, he drinks a LOT of coffee, as the Science Division pulls all-nighters quite often. I can't describe his funny personality fully so you're gonna have to read the manga to see for yourself!

The Layout

The current layout features scenes from Chapter 8. It's a funny scene where River tries to wake up a sleeping Komui but can't. Only when he whispers "Rinali is getting married--" does Komui wake up (crying, albeit). I used a gradient and some simple square brushes to create this layout.
