Quoth TAFL:
A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.

My interpretation

Fanlistings have become quite the fad since it first caught on several years ago. It first started with TFL but now, anime and manga related fanlistings fall under a separate network, TAFL. Both joining and maintaining fanlistings have become quite a hobby for webmasters. Right now, many webmasters have a "fanlisting collective", where they list all the fanlistings they own and have joined. The fanlisting-owner community has grown quite large; just take a look at the TAFL board.

What is Tenjou Tenge?

Tenjou Tenge is a shounen manga by Oh! Great. You may know Oh! Great in his distinctive art from his other series such as Himiko Den, Majin -Devil-, or Air Gear. Tenjou Tenge is a fighting manga that revolves around the main character, Nagi Souichirou. The story begins when he first enters Toudou Academy, a school that is called a fighting paradise. He looks just like your average high school delinquent and the school looks like any other high school. However almost everyone in the school can fight, using whatever style they have conceived or taught. After some skirmishes, Nagi and his friend Bob Makihara join the Juukenbu, a small club run by Natsume Maya. As the story gets deeper (and there is a plot, mind you), more complicated history and past events are discovered. The Natsume family is a well-known family that holds a special sword whose heir, Natsume Shin, the student president of Toudou a few years ago, had died. The current student president of Toudou is one of Shin's friends, Takayanagi Mitsuomi, the current heir of the Takayanagi family, said to be at the center of an old syndicate (not sure about this). He is also the head of the Enforcement Group, the student council that keeps Toudou at piece. He is also at the center the world that involves F and Nagi Souhaku, who overthrew the 12 founding families. Souichrou, who is the son of Nagi is said to possess a great power within him. Anyway, all in all, Tenjou Tenge is very complicated (and I'm not quite sure what's going on anymore) but it has some great fights!

Who is Madoka?

Madoka is a minor character and first appears in volume 11. She is the current head of the Mawari family, one of the founding families and a member of F, also one of the best styles of sword. After Souhaku overthrew the 12 founding families, and killing Madoka's family in the process, he controls her using a necklace charm and tell her to retrieve an important disk from the Juukenbu. She sets out on this errand (in a frilly skirt and bonnet, I might add) and first runs into Bob. She takes out her swords and starts to fight. She's somewhat of a crybaby but is determined to complete her errand. Bob is getting beaten and Isuzu Emi shows up and both of them land some critical hits on Madoka. But Madoka gets up and really kicks ass until Masataka arrives and beats her. She is captured but while the members of Juukenbu are caught off guard, she takes out a rolled up sword that she swallowed and attempts to attack again. However Aya notices the negative energy coming from Madoka's necklace and destroys it. Upon the destruction of the charm controlling her, Madoka regains her memories and hatred for Souhaku, who massacred her entire family. Yeah, so basically that's Madoka's story. She's cool because she has cool swords and can kick ass even if she's only in junior high XD
